Mama: "I think there's something wrong with me."
Me: "What do you mean, Mama?"
Mama: "I don't know how to do this anymore."
Me: "You mean making breakfast?"
Mama (smiling shyly): "Yes...!"
Me: "That's ok, Mama, I'll do it for you."
I bring her a plate of sausage & eggs.
Mama: "Oh, thank you! You're such a nice lady!"
Me: "I'm happy to do it for you, Mama."
We both smile. It makes me happy & sad...
She asks me what I am doing on the computer (I'm playing Wizard 101) & I tell her about her grandson's glowing career. I bring out my Wizard 101 hat & she puts it proudly on.
This is one of those tender moments that make this situation ok.
